HVS, along with our friends at Bird & Bird (lawyers), AlixPartners (restructuring specialists) and publishers EP Business in Hospitality, are pleased to present our next seminar, looking forward to the future of the hotel sector and the innovative new models emerging in the post-Pandemic world, on Wednesday 1st December, between 16.30 – 18.00 GMT.

We will be examining these new models from all angles, including the following:

  • Growth opportunities through franchising / management contracts
  • Dark kitchens – innovative use of hotels, partnering, better use of real estate
  • Overcoming issues such as supply chains, availability of talent
  • Technology / robotics
  • ESG

Disruption is everywhere in the global economy and the impact of the Pandemic has accelerated many of the changes caused by this disruption. Opening the seminar will be Brian Kalms, managing director of AlixPartners London. Brian will explore the key macro disruption trends, how they impact on the consumer and how this is showing up in the hotel industry.

We are delighted that Kate Nicholls OBE, chief executive of UKHospitality, will then present her version of the ‘State of the Union’ insofar as it impacts the hospitality sector and specifically her vision of the future in a post-Pandemic world.

Karen Friebe, head of the hotels, hospitality and leisure team at Bird & Bird will then moderate a panel of experts including Eric Jafari, chief development officer at edyn, David Kellett, senior director - hotel transactions at Invesco, Russell Kett, chairman of HVS and Faraz Nagree, founder of the Lean Kitchen Network and Future Food Brands.

We very much look forward to the pleasure of your company on December 1st for our last webinar of 2021.
